Book review of Ressurection in May

Filed under: Uncategorized — johnmkabui @ 5:52 pm

Resurrection in May by Lisa Samson is about May Seymour who found a sense of purpose after a trip to Rwanda. After the whole village, where she was staying, was slaughtered in a Genocide, she found solace in an old man’s solitary farm. And destiny brought her back to respond to a call of distress of her former flame. This book shows how she finally found her faith restored in the treacherous trail of life.

This is the first time I’m reading Lisa Samson’s book. It’s nice and also easy to read. In this book I like the way the author describe God’s faithfulness, his mercy and how he can change the most ugliest thing into something very beautiful. its so wonderful to see he bring people like Claudius, sister Ruth, Eli to restore her relationship with him and bring healing in her life. We think that life is all about us but it’s not  about how we can give it to others. like May thought that she can’t give anything to others but she ended up giving life to Eli’s family when they were going homeless.

I think its a good book for those who think that they can’t give anything to anyone because god had a very good reason of creating you in this world.
